The Best Way to Add AI on Edge

LatticeWork had an incredible time meeting new attendees of the ISC-West 2024 show (International Security Conference) and talked all about our Edge AI Ecosystem! Edge is a huge leap in AI and security: processing AI on-premises allows for less latency, lower bandwidth use, and more privacy and security. While most of the show was displaying their cloud systems, Edge is an incredible step in the direction that most solutions should be heading.

Traffic at the booth was non-stop! While we are positive this was because of the great interest in our Edge AI ecosystem, there could have been a little pull by the nearby food vendor! No worries, as it gave us ample opportunity to display our new face tracking system that could record every instance of a passerby and identify to see if the same person had passed by previously. It proved that it could even track the same people over different days, as well as their pathways between multiple cameras. This would be a great addendum for most any business, especially solutions in the retail, construction, and public safety arenas.

Another new piece of software that VAISense recently released is OptiView. Do you have a camera installation of many cameras, or cameras that are using AI and you rarely look at them? Using AI learning, OptiView can monitor your cameras for differences in the original setup and the current view to determine if anything is wrong with the camera signal, or if someone has tampered with the camera itself. This can cause malfunctioning AI models as well as poor footage for security purposes.

OptiView is incredibly resourceful, checking your camera signal once per hour and using a very small amount of processing power. It can run from one of our Edge devices alongside all of your other AI software.

We also release our new VAISense Security Package. This package is a bundled solution that includes people detection, weapon detection, and vehicle detection, working all in synergy to give you smart alerts on your existing camera system. We are excited to offer this package as an easy upsell to companies with a legacy camera system who do not want to change out their old cameras.

Besides meeting all of our newest friends, we'd be remiss if we didn't include all of the great meals we had, talking about the other exciting technology and solutions that we had discovered while wandering the halls of the Venetian Conference Center during our breaks. Which brings up our Food AI model technology! Did you know our AI can automatically bill you based upon the food delivered to your table? How about the fact that our AI can immediately signal when to bus a table, or when a table for 6 is ready for another party? So many uses and cases to talk about when it comes to Edge AI!
